In memoriam

I know my last few posts have been about my grandmother, but today's post is also grandma related. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday night and her funeral was on Sunday. Having just travelled to see her 2 week ago, coupled with the fact that I have no childcare, I couldn't make it to the funeral. By all accounts, she had a good send off.

While I was in KL, I found a few things which my grandmother made me. There were lots of baby booties and hats. My favourite item was this capelet which she crocheted. I've got Keira modelling it here. It's so retro, so now, so cool!
I miss you grandma, rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother and I'm glad you got a chance to be with her before she passed. My thoughts are with you. Keira is working that capelet hard and looking great in it!

I'm very sorry about your grandmother's passing. I'm glad you got to spend some time with her before; it soothes the soul somehow. (I was in an almost identical situation with my grandfather; I traveled to see him while he was very ill, and he passed away 18 hours after I visited with him. So I can relate, somehow.)

I love that you get to pass on your grandmother's handmade things to your daughter. She is looking seriously adorable in that capelet!
