Or in other words - much swearing took place, sewing and ripping, and yet more sewing and swearing. Finally, the quilt top is finished. Note that I'm not showing a close up of my sewing skills and I thought I'd distract you with the kids too. So here it is. I've now got to quilt, and bind and it'll probably take another year to complete.
I've also finished my second pair of socks, well anklets to be precise. The pattern is from Alison.
I was tempted by this after seeing a pair at Ruth's. Love her Watermelon socks!
This super quick knit only took one skein of Koigu KPPM. I'm now pretty confident about doing the short row heel and toe. It's not too holey. But my cuffs seem a bit loose. I guess more practice is on the cards.
PS - it's quite difficult to take photos of one's feet.

great job on the patchwork so far! i'm sure once it is a quilt, it'll look terrific. =)
i agree on the anklets, a bit loose around the cuffs. her pattern is for her foot size, which is a tad bigger than mine. but i agree with you on the short row heel and toe - interesting to learn! and quicker than picking up stitches, in my opinion. =)
and YES, quite difficult to take photos of one's feet. i have to take at least 5 photos to get the one i like best. =)
It's a cheerful quilt and the kids seem to enjoy it! ;)
You're so funny! I love the quilt; the stars are my favorite part, I think. I almost missed them, though, as I was distracted by the Amazing Cuteness that are your KIDS. They make me want to hug my monitor! :-)
What a cute distraction. The quilt looks great.
Those socks look wonderful.
Duh! You have posted piccies! Well done on the quilt top and anklets. Can't wait to see you on Thursday!
